2008 Highlights

January – Pat enters retirement season and enjoys his quiet times and long walks with the dog.

February – PnP do Preview Days for Westmont College in Santa Barbara (Montecito)

March – 25th Anniversary journey to New Zealand . . . WOW! Spent the entire month traveling throughout both islands: Zorbing, viewing glow worms in an underground river, helicopter ride over the Fiords and much more!

April – Westmont Spring Sing . . . another zany evening! Pat goes to work for United Cerebral Palsy, driving clients to appointments, shopping, etc.

May – Cody graduates from Westmont with a degree in Biology! Padia family reunion in Newport Beach.

June – Patti’s 50th birthday party at Jump Sky High (a huge trampoline place); she is still a “youngster” at heart!

July – The Watters Family return to Mission Springs for All Church Conference, with Tommy and Leanna joining us!

August – Tommy and Leanna Mascotti, ages 10 and 11 years, move in to our home, and make it theirs! Cody moves to Moorpark for a two year program at EATM (Exotic Animal Training & Management).

September – Tommy and Leanna’s first experience with Land Park Soccer (and Pat returns to coach/parent role.)

October – Pat leaves his UCP job (reluctantly) and begins Yard Duty at Cabrillo School.

November – Tommy and Leanna meet and fall in love with the Axtell family (and vice versa of course!)

December – Wow, what a month! An early Christmas with Cody in Moorpark (road trip with all of us including T&L). Tommy and Leanna move in with Dan, Nikki, Clare and Emma on Christmas Day! Patti retires from UC Davis Medical Center after 27 years!

Kyle continues studies toward his PhD in astrophysics at Stanford University, Cody, as previously noted is at EATM in Moorpark, and Karly has changed her major to Sociology at Sonoma State in anticipation of pursuing a career as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Throughout 2008 we were building relationships with Tommy and Leanna Mascotti, and we continue to be involved in their lives. We also continue to be involved in Young Life, marriage/family ministry, and more as God leads. A new season in His Grace and Love, seeking His direction for our lives.
