A taste of retirement life, maybe . . .
PnP took off for the hills (specifically the High Sierras) with Riley along for the ride (and hike). We headed out from Carson Pass, south to Lake Winnemuca and Round Top. It was truly a heavenly October day, with Aspen in all their various changing colors, snow on the mountains, and a water-loving dog who just couldn't stay out of the freezing cold lakes. God's creation . . . Majestic!

Whidbey Island & the Au Sable Institute
Whidbey Island and the Au Sable Institute for Env. Studies was superb! Even did a Field Botany and Marine Invert.'s class with Cody while we there. Lots of great hikes, wildlife and plants. Definitely a place to put on your list, base camp Coupeville, destinations; Olympic N.P., San Juan Islands, Seattle area, Victoria B.C. and much more. PnP

in our minds . . .
So, the first journey of PnP for this blog will be an "in our minds" version. Big Muddy (Pat) will be having a retirement party, the big AlOha event of the summer of 2007, where all the party-goers will be going to Hawaii in their minds along with Pat & Patti. We (or our technically inclined kids) will post pics, etc. for your amusement. Thursday, July 26, 2007 in the Firehouse Courtyard in Old Sac.
Oooops, I take that part back about the "first journey"! PnP will be heading up to Whidbey Island in the Seattle area to visit Cody while he is attending the Au Sable Institute for Environmental Studies there!
