Peace On Earth

“If we are to have peace on earth, our loyalties must become ecumenical rather than sectional. Our loyalties must transcend our race, our tribe, our class, and our nation; and this means we must develop a world perspective.” —Martin Luther King, Jr.

Greed, lust, power & pride are not the path to peace.  Humility, simplicity, vulnerability & love enables us to transcend.  }:- ❤️

Social Media Sabbatical

I have decided to take a break from social media; Facebook & Twitter in my case.  So, while absent from those places I'm going to express myself via the ol blog, which I tend to neglect in favor of the other two options.  Here is the first of several expressions, with others to follow:

So much violence promoted by media and entertainment in our world!  And our USA leads the way in bombarding our senses with it while throwing in sexual lust.  It's no wonder we see humanity acting it out in life every day!

Advertising, film, television, video games and more . . . pollution of the mind, heart and soul.

Update -- Spring 2017

preview.jpg
Our new "business" cards -- yes, we still accept requests for all sorts of things in anam cara, including speaking/teaching as a team.  We don't charge a fee, yes we are FREE indeed.  Don't mind some help with travel and lodging for out of town gigs, but everything is negotiable.

While our "ministry" is primarily one-to-one discipleship; soul care, mentoring, etc., these days, we nonetheless welcome group experiences as well.  Our range of topics and areas of life includes all those things we've experienced in God's grace and mercy; marriage/relationships and all that entails both good and difficult, parenting at all stages, family dynamics in different seasons, spiritual formation and discipleship -- life.

We love speaking to all kinds of groups, denominations, genders and ages.  We will even do men's or women's retreats as a team, while adjusting our participation accordingly for sensitive topics and small group breakouts, etc.

Our passion is simply that others would grow in their knowledge of God, Lover of our souls, and individually too in Christ; transformation.  We humbly and vulnerably share ourselves and our lives in a comfortable, humorous way that others tell us they have been blessed by.

So, if you or your gathering are looking for an inexpensive speaker(s), let us know.  For us, it's all part of long obedience within God's unforced rhythms of grace.

Nature as a mirror of God

Of course the Celtic monastics and Native Americans simply accepted this.  But I am grateful for the mystics who have attempted to express it as best they could/can.  }:- ❤️

Wiconi . . . story within the Greater Story -

At some point we Christians must take a serious look (examen) at our lives to see if we reflect Christ or consumer Christianity.  When others look at us and our lifestyle do they see humility and simplicity, or the wealth of the world?  Prosperity gospel, or the riches of the true Gospel Kingdom?

What's in a name?  Jesus, the Christ of God versus the religion called Christianity.   When did love, grace, mercy, compassion, and humility get superseded by worldly wealth, power and fame?

I walked away from the religion when it seemed "empty", I came "back" to Jesus and met him for the first time.  The new relationship has been a journey, he's taught me much along the way, and I expect has more in store for an old monk of a moose.

Gratitude.  Yep, that's the word.  That's where and who I've become through surrender and submission, as opposed to striving and controlling.  Grace and blessings, even through trials and suffering.  My passion in this season is simply to share the LOVE, to talk story and let the Creator and Lover of my soul do the rest.
